Some positive signs from VisitBritain’s Sentiment Tracker

The results of VisitBritain’s Sentiment Tracker, from the latest wave of its COVID-19 Consumer Sentiment research, are now available.                                

Perceptions of those surveyed regarding COVID-19 (stating ‘worst has passed’) increased from 38% in April to 51% in May. Only 14% still fear “worst is still to come.

Confidence in the ability to take a trip has slightly increased, with 74% ‘very or fairly confident’ in taking a domestic trip in May (71% in April wave), and 58% ‘very or fairly confident’ in taking an overseas trip in May (57% in April wave).
