The DVSA are asking for views on towing and trailer safety and have launched a new survey at Trailer training and safe towing survey (smartsurvey.co.uk). The survey is being carried out to help DVSA communicate effectively with drivers who are new to towing, and those who already have towing experience. Workshops and dealerships may wish to share this survey with their customers.
The survey takes about 5 minutes and asks questions about:
- The type of towing people do
- When they’re likely to tow
- What they think is important when carrying out safety checks
- Whether they would take trailer training
