This year sees an extra bank holiday for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

May Bank Holiday Weekend moves to Thursday 2 June 2022 with the additional day off added on 3 June.

Depending on how the employment contracts are worded, staff may or may not be entitled to the time off as a paid bank holiday, or they may need to use some of their main holiday allowance to accommodate it.  If this does apply, then perhaps in the interests of staff relations it could be a quick and easy win to reward and thank employees.
