Caravan Guard helps customer provide campervan to care home worker

A kind-hearted Caravan Guard customer has donated her campervan to a local care home for a member of staff to self-isolate in during the coronavirus lockdown. A residential care home near Huddersfield had asked for motorhomes or caravans for 16 of their staff to stay in over the coming weeks.

The Halifax-based caravan and motorhome insurance specialists were able to quickly make some amendments to the owner’s policy so that the campervan could be driven to the care home and set up on their temporary campsite.

“As a company we care completely about our customers and community and wanted to be able to help the owner fulfil this wonderful offer of support,” said PR & Communications Manager Liz Harrison.

Separately, Caravan Guard have reminded their customers that it is important to maintain insurance cover even when a vehicle is not being used, particularly as the incidence of thefts is on the rise.
